No we don’t sell direct to the public. Trees Impact is a wholesale supplier to the landscape industry only. Retail sales to private buyers are not available.

We specialise in larger trees, typically in the 200 to 800 litre range, grown to the highest standard and warranted to meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS 2303:2018. These semi-mature trees usually stand between 3 and 10 metres tall, depending on species.

While our core focus is on this size range, we can also supply selected smaller stock and, in special cases, bigger trees up to 2000 litres.

Australian Natives:

A large part of our production is devoted to Australian natives in sizes not otherwise available in the general market. Trees commonly in production include Angophora, Araucaria, Banksia, Cupaniopsis, Eucalyptus/Corymbia, Ficus, Lophostemon, Syncarpia, Tristaniopsis, and Waterhousia.

Exotic Species:

A smaller range of exotics includes Fraxinus, Jacaranda, Lagerstroemia, Ulmus, and Zelkova.

Trees Impact created the ‘NATSPEC Specification for Landscape Trees’, which has now evolved into Australian Standard AS 2303:2018. We pioneered production methods to consistently meet the world’s most rigorous standard – now accepted as the Australian benchmark.

Before leaving the nursery, our trees all undergo a comprehensive pre-delivery quality check. The checks ensure AS 2303:2018 compliance – as a matter of course and without extra charge.

AS 2303:2018 is the Australian Standard for tree stock for landscape use - the most rigorous tree specification in Australia, if not globally.

It ensures trees have:

• Proper root structure and development

• Sound trunk and branch structure

• Appropriate balance between above-ground and below-ground parts

• Self-supporting stems without the need for permanent staking

• Freedom from structural defects that could cause future failure

For public spaces, this matters even more: Organisations managing tree plantings in public spaces have a duty of care to ensure trees are stable and safe. Conformance to AS 2303:2018 is an important factor when acquiring these trees, as it helps mitigate risks associated with structural failures that could endanger people or property.

Trees Impact pioneered this standard - our co-founder Ross Clark authored the original NATSPEC specification that evolved into AS 2303:2018.

We propagate most trees ourselves from seed or cutting, growing them for an average of 2-3 years before they reach saleable maturity (averaging around 300 litres).

Our nursery practices are designed around the production of trees that reliably conform to AS 2303:2018 and include:

• Root management: Sequential root pruning at each stage to ensure radial root development

• Wide spacing: Each tree grown in its own space without crowding

• Minimal staking: Trees develop naturally to be self-supporting

• Expert pruning: Formative pruning throughout production for strong structure

• Above-ground containers: All trees grown in containers, not in-ground

Deliveries to all areas between Brisbane and Melbourne are routine, with loads as far afield as Townsville in far north Queensland, Adelaide in South Australia and the inland regions of New South Wales not uncommon. Trees are specially prepared, packed and covered for transport.

Vehicles are equipped with cranes for loading/unloading, and only drivers experienced in handling our product are used.

When placing an order for trees to be supplied at a future time, it is important that customers carefully consider the date when they realistically expect the plants will be needed for planting. A number of decisions are based on that ‘nominated date’ and a number of outcomes depend on the accuracy or otherwise of that date.

Yes.  This is very common.

If delivery of the trees is deferred for more than a month, fees for continuing to hold them may become payable until delivery. If the delay continues for longer periods, the trees may need to be potted on to bigger sizes and their price increased accordingly.
